Bio

Buthaina Bin Beyat is a multidisciplinary artist working across weaving, painting and ceramics. Born and raised in Dubai, she followed an earlier career in urban planning and project management before entering art, a background that continues to inform her interest in structure, materials, and the built environment.

She studied Urban Planning at the University of Westminster in London before returning to Dubai, where she worked on large-scale urban development projects. She later returned to formal art education and completed the Graduate Diploma in Art & Design at the Royal College of Art in London in 2023.

Her practice has since developed through an ongoing exploration of material, process and making, with a particular interest in textile and craft-based practices and their place within contemporary art.

Buthaina lives and works between Dubai, London and the Seychelles.
